In my notes here, I often share links to resources that we used when preparing for the move, where we got information about life in Canada, and that simply inspired us during the waiting period. Today, I decided to gather even more of these links in one post for your convenience!

Canada: Immigration and Citizenship
Official website of Immigration and Citizenship Government of Canada
Here, you can register an account to apply for immigration and track the entire process. It contains the latest information on the rules and types of visitor, work, and other visas.

Официальный Твиттер IRCC
Recently, we shared useful tweets about immigration from IRCC. I highly recommend subscribing to their channel for the latest updates. They publish useful information not only for those planning to enter the country but also for tourists and readers who have already received residency.

Our Immigration Consultant
Olena Koroleva—licensed immigration consultant with many years of experience. She was very helpful to us during our process, and now we gladly recommend her to everyone interested. (See our interview with Olena about the details of Express Entry for more information!)

Expat Communities on Social Media
You can learn more about life in Toronto and Canada by subscribing to immigrant communities on Facebook. They regularly publish posts about events and holidays, and discuss news and events.
Kohorta
Kohorta is a Ukrainian-Canadian charitable organization that engages in educational, humanitarian, and human rights projects. On their Facebook page, you will find many charitable projects and events for Ukrainians in Toronto.

Ukrainians in Toronto
UkrTO—community that brings together Ukrainians in Toronto. This platform collects and discusses news, events, and activities that interest immigrants.

Canadian News
Even before our move, we tried to follow local news, Canadian news in general, and local events related to Toronto and Ontario. Some excellent sources were:
- CBC — CBC/Radio Canada, the leading news source in the country, publishes information on everything from politics and the economy to historical retrospectives and opinions.
- blogTO — blogs about Toronto, everything about the life of the fastest-growing city in North America!

- Canada Letter от New York Times — weekly newsletter from the leading global publication, dedicated to Canada and Canadian current events.
Networking in Toronto
Immigrant Women in Business—fast-growing networking organization with four branches as of the end of 2018, offering a wide range of educational events, training programs, youth programs, and women’s initiatives.

Educational Links
Of course, all leading universities and business schools in Canada have their websites and offer information on available courses, programs, and certifications. Here are just a few of them:
- University of Toronto
- Rotman School of Management
- Waterloo University
- George Brown College
- Seneca College
What resources helped or are helping you prepare for life in Canada? Where do you get your news from? Share in the comments!
